“Why ProMizzion?”

Dr. Elaine Loo is a dynamic individual who has always been driven to excel. She was the only woman in her college selected for a fully sponsored student exchange program in the UK, where she was both fascinated and bewildered by the interactive learning environment. The students were assertive, debated openly, and were not dependent on spoon-feeding. Inspired by this, Elaine decided that she wanted to help others in her home country experience this kind of active learning.
During her final degree year, Elaine served as a Principal at Kumon Learning Institution while juggling her academic responsibilities. She was motivated to help her peers enhance their confidence and presentation skills, noticing their lack of initiative in pursuing dreams. Elaine then took the bold step to offer Presentation Skill and Communication Skill workshops to colleges and universities for free.
The response was so impressive that she was asked to conduct workshops on interviewing skills for undergraduates. To prepare, Elaine went through nearly 30 interviews in two months and was offered positions by all companies, some even offering scholarships for further education. Despite the lucrative offers, Elaine turned them all down, conducting over 100 workshops across 20 colleges and universities.
She observed from her interactions with HR managers that a degree was no longer enough to succeed in today’s world. Soft skills and attitude were paramount. Elaine was dismayed to see many young adults lacking direction, confidence, and essential skills. This led her to question, “What is the purpose of education?”
Elaine began studying human behavior, educational psychology, character development, and learning methods across cultures. With her newfound knowledge and her rich experience in training, she started ProMizzion (previously Prokidz International Academy). The purpose: to empower children to learn joyfully, embrace their unique journey, and live to their full potential and talent. This move left many perplexed, questioning why a high achiever with great corporate potential would choose to focus on nurturing children.
